Another successful journey

Home, safe and sound. It has been a long day. I’ve been up since 5:00 AM London time, and I will probably be up 24 hours before I go to bed.
Woke up early – drats, I should have slept in today. Went down for breakfast to see some of the others off. Saw almost everyone and we said our good byes.
It has been a long 23 days together, through good weather and mostly crappy weather. We had a lot of ups and a couple of downs, but on the whole it was a great tour.
We caught the shuttle to the airport around 12. The driver drove like he was in a race. Air Canada is sure cutting back, we had to do or own check in. Then go to another counter to drop off 1 bag. We decided to check one bag as we were over the 20lb limit on both bags. Then the long trail through customs. That was fun, but no one was laughing. We caught them at shift change, so it was a slow process.
Once we got through we wandered an bit, then grabbed a sandwich and sat down to wait. The plane was full, so no spreading our for us. I thought I might sleep, but no chance, so I watched 3 movies instead. The I watched the ice flow in the north. The 8+ hour flight didn’t seem as long as it did going over.
We breezed through customs, got picked up and taken home, with a stop at Boston Pizza to get a pizza to take home.
The bags are unpacked, the dirty clothes by the washer (maybe they will wash themselves).

Now to start packing for the next trip – in 4 days!!
