We all met for breakfast – eggs and fruit again. We broke into 2 groups, one going up to the top of the mountain or close to it, and the other group off to the market. I chose the market I didn’t want to walk all that much today. So we all paired down what we were going to take as the pickpockets live there. I didn’t even take my camera and I regretted that.
So we got a taxi to take us and wait an hour. Up and down the aisles looking and touching everything. Lots of colours and people. As we wandered we realized we should be staying longer and brought more money. we bought a few things and told vendors we would be back. We wandered up and down all the aisles. There were a couple of guys following us, so everytime we spotted them we would point and say loudly why are you following us, they soon stopped. We ran out of money and time, so back to the hotel we went. It was lunch time so we went across the street to have lunch. Flan was on the desert menu so we didn’t eat much. We should have asked first they didn’t have any flan. O well.
Then back out onto the street, our taxi driver was still there, so we bartered with him, for 2.50$ he took the 4 of us back to the market. Armed with more money and our cameras, we wandered up and down again, buying scarfs and Alpaca blankets and little trinkets. We spent another hour or more there, buying stuff, then out onto the street and grabbed a taxi ( we are getting bolder) back to the hotel. The guys were coming back from lunch, we sat in the garden and
chatted for a while then up to the room for an afternoon siesta. And washing of clothes.

Going to the warm climate has certainly influenced you – the date should have been January 4, not February 4!
