Sept 5

Same routine as yesterday- up at 6:30, bags out at 7:30 and off to breakfast. One the coach at 8:45 and off towards Lisbon.
We made a pit stop around 10 and then stopped at Fatima 11:30. Big church and massive square in front. Some people were making their way towards the church on their knees and a couple were crawling.
We went into the church and said a prayer or two. Lots of people inside for the Mass that was later, so we left.
We wandered the streets for a bit, then found a little cafe and had a ham & cheese bun and used their facilities.
From there we did more wandering looking in the little shops.
Back on the coach and away toward the next stop – Obido.
Obido is a walled city. Again we were dropped off with a few directions and let loose. We walked from one end to the other and back. Then up on the wall – but we didn’t go far on the wall, slippery stones and no rails.
Then off to Lisbon. We got to the hotel around 5 and crashed for a bit. Right now I’m fighting with the internet connection.
Went down to the desk got a new ID and password Vicki talked to Tony and said that the Portuguese tarts were the best ever and we wanted more. We wondered across the street to the mall and wandered through trying to find the food court which we finally did. We had a little pizza and some Coke and saw a couple of people from tour as we wandered around.
Back to the hotel and now time to do a little laundry and maybe get to bed early tonight probably not.
