Congo Canopy Tour

Monday Zip line day There were six of us going to the congo canopy tour. We were all waiting in the lobby at 9:45 and nobody showed up to pick us up. One of the people had the Sunwing guys phone, the Congo people had us down for 10:45.
So they sent a guy in a hurry to pick us up. We got another Costa Rican massage once we got off the main road onto a dirt kind a gravelly rocky road to the canopy tour.
We all got tied into our harnesses got a helmet that kind of fit but didn’t really, and off we went swinging from tree to tree and hanging on for dear life.
We did seven zip lines going from tree top to tree top. We had a paparazzi following the two of us, because I decided not to defy gravity and take pictures while I was on the zip line.
It was very hot on the side of the mountain. After the third zip line we had to walk up a hill to get to the long zip line. We must be at a higher altitude or I’m really really out of shape. And it’s really hot.
They had a water stations at the main stops in the trees so that was good. It was kind a neat having a guy following you around with the camera taking pictures.
One the last station there were howler monkeys and capuchin monkeys. A family of howler monkeys with a couple a little ones and one white face monkey just laying there having a nap.
Once we got back on the ground there was a gift shop of course it had air-conditioning so everybody was in there for a while. We had to wait 15 minutes to pick up our DVD, then a little shuttle bus took us back to the hotel.
Time for some cold cola and ice on our knees. In a bit it will be time for a little bit a lunch and then a lot of pool time.
Pool was good, talked to some guy from Camrose who hates the Oilers. Talked to a couple from New Mexico, discussed the political weather at the moment. We all agreed we need new leaders.
No photos today. Didn’t risk the phone on the zip line.
