It looks overcast this morning. I think we are going to wander the northern beaches, and have a picnic somewherWe left around 10 and went toward teh beaches. We stopped at Avalon Beach first, the wind was blowing quite strong, then followed the coast around to more beaches. Around every corner there is a beach and a livesaving club.
We had lunch at Dee Why Beach. Nice small beach. Each beach seems to have a pool at one end, that is filled with sea water. People swim laps in these pools.
Then back in the car and more beaches. We stopped at Manly beach, and went for a walk. Paul went looking for white pointers (toplesss). At all the beaches there were people waiting for the surf. We watched the surf for a bit, and then back to the car.
We drove to North Head, use to be a military base, and also where the quaretine ares was for immigrants. We parked and went for a walk along the Fairfax Walking Track. This track followed the cliff face. Nice long views of the South Pacific. Lots of spiders here, but they weren’t as big as the one in the Daintree.
It was a nice easy walk, really easy compared to some of the ones we have done in the past 2 months. Back to the car for a cold drink, and then off back to the house.
I downloaded all the photos and we had a slide show, and also a beer or two. Then out the door and a short walk up the street to a Thai resturant for supper. o so good, so the walk home did us a some good, although the walk wasn’t long enough.
And to finish the evening, some sticky date pudding, with sauce, double think cream and ice cream. That was so good. Just roll me to my bed please.e.
