Well the rain won’t go away. I had to put on blue jeans. It is cool and overcast.
On thursday we went down to the harbour and got on a harbour ferry over to Point Ellice House for tea. The trip on the little ferry was ok, I didn’t have to feed the fish! We toured the house with all it’s relics, it seems the lady of the house did not throw out anything, so there was lots of “stuff” in the house. After the tour we had tea outside on the lawn, under an awning, wrapped in blankets. We we served sandwiches, and soup and scones. At first we all thought there wasn’t much food there, but we were all full when we finished. It was really neat to sit on the lawn and have tea outside and be served by waitresses that were dressed in period costumes.
After tea, we went back down to the dock and waited for a little ferry to take us back to the main harbour.
We drove up a hill (Mount Tounline) and looked out over the city.
After which we went back to the house, we all thought we needed a nap. I was told I looked a little white. I laid down for a 15 minutes power nap that turned into 2 hours of sleep. I guess I needed that.
We discussed our past trips and the travelling we all wanted to do in the future.
Supper was great as usual and we talked more.
It started to rain again.
