The drive to Minden and back was slow and tedious. There were 4 different construction sites along Highway 50. 4 stops in the sun, added some time onto our trip, o well. We were all ahead last night, and we should have stopped.
But of course we didn’t, so I think we are all down a few dollars – nothing serious. The roads to the west of Minden were flooded yesterday when we arrived, but dry this afternoon when we left. The rivers and streams in the mountains are running very strong today.
With the warmup finally happening, the snow pack is starting to melt. There is still lots of snow along the side of the road above the 7000ft level.
