Bad Moon rising …

Another easy start, breakfast at 8 and away by 9. Off to Blarney Castle. Some of our group are going to kiss the stone, but not me, I already talk enough. Besides we only have 2.5 hrs, and I didn’t want to waste the time in line up a narrow winding staircase. We walked around the castle looked in the parts we could, and then wandered into the gardens and forests.
Beautiful green and quiet, just the birds and the wind in the trees. We wandered back towards people and met up with some others in search of some food. We found food and beer in Muskerry Pub. Good sandwiches and beer,
Then back on the coach and away toward Waterford. We stopped at Yougha for a rest break. That’s where the bad moon was rising. As we drove up beside the port, there were two gentlemen down in the mud, digging for something. As you can imagine, one of them had his back to us and was bent over, his pants were rising very low, so hence the bad moon rising.
After our little walk about we settled on benches near the water, the guys we saw earlier came up the ladder from the bay. We asked them what they were looking for – worms – for fishing. The town had very narrow streets, and we marveled how Steve managed so well.
Onward toward Waterford. On the way we had our limerick competition, my entry did not win …

There was a tour guide named Dylan
Full of blarney his mouth was spillin’
He wasn’t in York,
But lead us to Cork,
And on to his hometown if willin’

The clouds have burned away and the sun is shinning, it was 20 this afternoon. Such beautiful countryside here in Ireland.
The group is having a drink in the bar before supper tonight.
