Gear has been cleaned, bags are packed, tickets checked and a little money in the wallet.
We are set to go.
Off to Ecuador to spend time in Quito (Capital city) ( http://wikitravel.org/en/Quito ), then to the Cuyabeno Reserve ( http://wikitravel.org/en/Cuyabeno_Wild_Life_Reserve ) and the Tapir Lodge ( http://www.tapirlodge.com/ ). After we survive the jungle we are off to the coast of Ecuador to spend a couple of days in Guayaquil ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guayaquil ) and wander the Manglares Churute – a mangrove reserve ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Churute_Mangroves_Ecological_Reserve ).
From there we head out to the Galapagos and a boat ride for 11 days – Gravol is my friend. We will be sailing on the Samba ( http://www.sambagalapagos.com/ ), a 78ft converted Dutch fishing boat.
After we have wandered the islands as much as we can and snorkeled until we don’t want to anymore we will fly back home to cold weather and a white landscape.
We will be in and out of internet access, so when I can I will update the bLog. The first 5 or 6 days should be easy, after that who knows.
See you on the flip side!
