Jan 22 Espanola – Last full day

O man what a night! Not a good one! The ship tossed and rolled and tossed again.
Up at 5:00. Breakfast at 5:45 and most of the group was on the pangas and away at 6:30. 5 of us left at 7:00 for a dry landing by the little lighthouse. Punta Suarez There were many iguanas and sea lions. We stayed there for an hour. Three other tour groups went through scaring most of the sea lions into the water. Got some good shots.
Then in the panga and off for a ride around the point to see the blow hole. Too choppy for bird photos. The clouds have cleared off so it will be a hot one today.
Snorkelling is next. Most of the group went snorkelling, we stayed on board to get some quiet time. We also started to organize our bags. Sat around in the sun for a bit. When the gang got back from snorkelling we moved a bit and had lunch. Then we had a wet landing at Gardner Bay and sat around looking at all the sea lions and beautiful white sand beach and turquoise water. If you say still the sea lions would really close.
Back onboard and under way to our last stop, San Cristobal Island. An rolling ride, I stayed downstairs for most of it.
We had our ending ceremony and toasted the crew with champaign, and gave them their tip. Then we rushed to the lounge where we sat eagerly awaiting supper. Turkey !! We laughed and laughed. At one point we had to stop because Pete couldn’t catch his breath. Jaun gave his final briefing about tomorrow morning. One final look at sea lions and boobies. And then a final snorkel.
We checked out their Tshirts and then went out on deck to sit and take it all in. Back inside to put the finishing touches on packing. And the last time i climb into the upper bunk.
