Up at 5:00 – for the last time. On the panga and off to Isla Lobos to look at over a hundred baby sea lions, and boobies and more frigate birds. Back onto the boat and off to snorkel at Kicker Rock. We saw sea lions and turtles and sharks and lots of little fish. We swam between to huge rocks into the sun. Nice back lighting.
Back on the Samba for breakfast. And a big breakfast it was. It has to hold us for the day.
We are packed and ready to go.
We are navigating back to port at to the airport. Met by the navy and told where to park. The big bags went out through the windows and into the pangas one last time.
Nice looking port, lots of little shops and a cobbled street. Onto the bus and off to the airport – a whole 5 minutes.
Mass confusion – again as everyone can’t follow Jaun’s instructions. Through immigration and now we wait again.
Third time is the charm to get through security. We went up twice as they called for flights to Quito and got turned back. They let us go through the third time.
And after mass confusion we get to board. They gave us dry biscuits and a drink. We ate one of the sandwiches that Juan had made for us.
We are sitting on the plane in Guayaquil waiting for some people to get off and more to get on. The group is sitting together and they got up and rearranged the overhead bins so their stuff was above them. A swarm of people came on the plane to clean up the empty seats.
