up early (06:00) and we got away around 8:30. We travelled toward Rotorua. We stopped at the Agridome to watch the sheep show. That was interesting. The best thing is we found great slippers. We were off and found the luge run – ya !! We took the gondula up to the top, and then we all took the scenic run down – that was great! We had big smiles at the end of the run. Someone gave Lynn and ticket for 1 luge run, so Barrie & Lynn got 2 runs each, and we did 3 each. What a rush, on the last run we both were screaming around the corners on 1 wheel, and the front bumper. Once we were finished, we went back dwon to the motorhome and had lunch. After lunch we went to the information depot to see what else we could get into. We decided to go to Te Puia. Lynn & Barrie got in for a cheaper rate becasue it is New Zealand Day.

We caught most of the Mauri show, it sounded a lot like Hawaiian music. After the show we wandered outside, getting shoved aside by other less polite tourists. Once out the door, we wandered off to see the geyser and the mud pools. Man it was hot out there, and smelly too. Then of course to leave, we had to go through the gift shop. We looked around and then off toward Waitomo Caves.

We stopped for a rest break at Aluni dam for a break. That was nice, nice cold water and some cookies and a little walk around to stretch our legs. The back in the motorhome and off down the road.
We didn’t stop at the commercial ones, we went right on past to the Mangapohue Natural Bridge Scenic Reserve. The road was very narrow and the sun was right in front, sometime blinding us. Good thing Barrie was driving.
There was no one there, so we got the motorhome parked right, and then piled out to stretch. Nice looking place, quiet and no one around. We went for a walk while Lynn made supper. Nice meal, and then we grabbed our flashlights and off to see the glow worms. WOW – does it ever look neat. Hundreds and hundreds of of little lights on the wall and ceiling. We stayed in there for a while, and then back to the motorhome to go to bed, we are all a little tired.
