March 24

Up around 7 and getting ready for a day riding the ferries around Sydney harbour.
We drove to the train station, and bought the day tripper pass, and jumped on the train to go downtown. We missed the express train, so it took us an hour to get to Circle Quay.
We hopped on the ferry to Parramatta and went north, out under the bridge and past Darling Harbor out through some mangroves, then back the same way. That took a couple of hours.
Lunch was next, at McDonalds – tasted the same everywhere.
Then onto the ferry to Manely, out past the Navy yards, and the zoo, in between the head lands where the water was choppy, and back again.
Then third trip was to Darling Harbor, under the bridge again, and around to the new wildlife zoo, past the Endeaver, and around and back under the bridge back to Circle Quay.
We decided we had had enough of the ferries and sun, so back on the train. I had a little nap. Once back at the house, Jen & Paul gathered a few drinks and we were off to a friends place for drinks on the back deck.
The sunset didn’t have much colour, and the birds and possums were a noshow. Back to the house and Jen went and got take away pizza. We then had to watch “Packed to the Rafters” the final episode of a tv show that we had watched in Mermaid Waters. We are hooked on Australian tv shows.
