the day after

Well we survived the wedding day, and it didn’t start to snow until just before 7 pm.
It snowed just east of Jasper Friday night so some of the kids had a really slow very snowy drive to Jasper. Saturday morning, there were clouds in the sky, but it cleared and the sun came out around 9:30. We got some great photos, just east of town. On Friday in about the same spot, everything was brown, and starting to dry out, Saturday morning everything was white, with about 3 or 4 inches of snow on the ground.
It started to cloud over around 1 or 2, and light flakes about 4. I had my fingers crossed, and asked the big guy upstairs if he could hold off on the snow until 7. That worked!

The ceremony went off without a hitch, and off we went to Old Fort Point to get the portraits – fantastic light, and a little snow. By the time we left, the snow was really coming down.
The reception was great, lots of great food, and not a set seating arrangement, so everyone talked with everyone.
I gave up after the cutting of the cake, and headed back to the room.
I had to put ice on my right hand, it was cramping up because I have had the camera in it since Thursday. I had a hot bath, and a drink, then back to the party for a bit. Photos here

And a fun time was had by all – I made an executive decision, and decided to stay one more night – I need a rest.
Now I can party !!
