May 30 – on our way south……

We are away.
Left Kelowna this morning, and just stopped in Goldendale Washington.
We are both a little tired from the weekend. We played in a slo-pitch tournament, 3 games on Sat and 2 games on Sun. We lost them all, but we had lots of good times and laughs off the field. The weather cleared on Sat, so we had sun on both days. So of course we burnt our faces.
Off the diamonds we ate and drank and laughed and poked fun at one another. Most people left on Sunday after the last game, but a few of us stayed over. Later in the afternoon, we went up Chute Lake Road to Seton Place – a Catholic Retreat. From there we could see the whole
valley – very nice view. Peaceful and quiet – no one there but us.

We decided we were not going to jump out of bed and leave early this morning, but we were awake at 6.
We left Kelowna around 9:30 and headed south. We went through some rain storms, and a little hail, but nothing adventurous on the road, it was a good drive and we stopped early- for us anyway, so we could catch up on our sleep that we lost on the weekend.
