Up early and out to throw the ball around. We then had a nice slow breakfast. Then off to Oatman to see the wild burros.
It was a short drive into the hills (mountains), and there they were. Just like the buffalo in Elk Island Park, standing in the middle of the raod and not moving. We had some carrots, and as soon as we brought them out the burros were on the move to us. So much so they were trying to get into the trunk and the back seat. We had to push them out of the way to get back in the car.
We moved on into Oatman, and parked the car. At 9:30 it was alreayd 92 F, and clearing up. The burros followed us into town and were soon all over the street. After we wandered up and down the street, we got out the rest of the carrots, and again had all the burros around us. There were 5 babys and, they had labels on their foreheads saying do not feed. They didn’t have their back teeth, so they couldn’t eat anything hard.
Back in the car and back into Laughlin to go on a boat ride up and down the river. Some of us stayed on shore, and in the cool casino. Lots of info and interesting history on the baot ride. Once that was over we found a place to eat, and then lost some more money.
We wandered off to Safeway to stock up on some food items and then back to the house and we played cards until all of us were yawning so much we quit. Tomorrow it is back to Vegas and Elton John.
