Up at 6:30 to go hiking, but that idea came to a screeching halt – thunder storms and pouring rain. darn!
We wandered around town for a bit and then decided to take a chance, so off to Christmas Tree Pass again.
It wasn’t raining and the dirt/sand road looked resonably dry, so off we went. We ended up in a different canyon and climbed up to some big rocks with holes. As we were standing atop the rocks we could see the heavy rain clouds come romping up the pass, so we took a couple of photos and headed back to to the car. It was raining by the time we got to the car, and we beat a hasty retreat out to the highway.
It rained all the way back to the house, so I guess that means no hiking at all 🙁
