A leisurely start for the day. We battled our way through the breakfast line – a couple of other tours are here at the hotel. On the coach and out of the city just after 9:00. It was pouring when we left. Heavy overcast and some wind. As we proceeded along the Ring of Kerry, the sky lightened and the rain stopped. Blue sky !!
The day turned out beautiful, blue sky and big white clouds. The wind was a little strong though. We had a few photos stops along the way, with the admonishment that you are an adult, if you climb on the wall, it is a long way down at it is at your own risk. So the people that climbed on the wall got in the shots of all the other people.
We stopped for lunch in the town of Sneem, and met a lovely couple as we had lunch in there parlor. The best sandwiches and fresh scones. Once lunch was done, we wandered the town marveling at how lovely it was. I guess it has been voted Prettiest Town in Britain.
We piled back on and watched more beautiful scenery go by. A couple more photos stops and we were back in Killarney. We wandered the shops and looked at the same stuff we have seen for a couple of days, just different prices.
We went for Italian tonight. Had a pizza and a lot of laughs about the events of the tour with friends.
As for the rumors, there are a few singles on the tour, and one of the ladies has attached her self to a couple (esp the guy) whom try to make it known that they have more money and are better than the rest of us. One of them says, “I am beautiful, you know”. I would say, “Really, you should have your mirrors checked for cracks”. Anyway the female of the couple stayed in town today, and the single lady and the gentleman seemed to be very cozy in the back.
We went through the a tunnel with the saying that if you kiss your true love while in the tunnel you will return to Ireland. Everyone was trying to see if the rumored couple had kissed.
