A nice was a relaxed start to the day.breakfast at our leisure, and on the coach at 9:50 – latest start so far. Away on t city tour with a local guide. She knew a lot, actually everyone here seems to know their history really well. If someone asked me where the 1812 war was and who was killed, I would have any idea.
After the city tour we went to have a Guinness tour. That was a little disappointing after the distillery tour. This tour was a video presentation over 5 floors. Nice video and displays, but we were expecting to go through the factory. This was just a push through to the store to buy stuff. Didn’t work, we spent more time talking with our tour mates and just made it back to the coach in time.
From there we were dropped off where we were yesterday, by Trinity College. We wandered the streets and up the main shopping street, that is blocked from cars. Lots of buskers about – quit interesting.
What a nice feeling to be walking down the street in an unfamiliar city, and have someone call out to you.
We wandered up and into St. Stevens Park. Nice bit of green in the middle of the city.
We slowly made our way back to the hotel, and stopped and bothered our guide and driver.
Today was a nice change of pace, slow and relaxing. We wandered down to have supper in the bar with some others. The bar was quiet and not many people, so that was a change as well.
We are back to normal tomorrow as we are on the road at 7:30 so we can catch the ferry over to Wales.
