A great start to the day, or so I thought. Fried egg on toast, and scones and jam and cream for desert for breakfast. Well I was too cocky in the kitchen this morning, not only did I set of one smoke detector, I had them both going off. Open the door and fan the darn things, and they quit, only to start again. We had the door and window open, the fan on and us flapping at the smoke detectors. They finally quit. The kitchen is decidely cooler now. Good thing we started late today, I would have hated to wake the neighbours.
It is general over cast and raining this morning, but it is going to move off this afternoon leaving blue skys again for the next 3 or 4 days.
More later … the skies have cleared and we are off towards more castles.

Nice pictures – hope you remember one castle from the other! Only +4 here this morning – apparently they had snow in Banff last night!
