High Desert

Yesterday we drove across Nevada. Stopped in Wells to gas up and loose 20$, but I came out 100$ to the good – first time I’ve won there in a long time.
Then on to Jackpot. We checked in and immediately went to the café for supper. Good tacos.
Afterwards we stayed at the casino and gambled, I lost the 100$ I won in Wells, but then I won it back, so Ya!
Up late and on the road to find pancakes. We stopped in Twin Falls at the iHop. Good French toast. Onward toward Craters of the Moon Park.
What a neat place – lava for miles, nothing but rocks and sagebrush. Since we were last here there has been a lot of flower growth. Hundreds and hundreds of little purple and white flowers growing up through the lava. Looks neat.
Then on the back roads toward our stop for the night. Not much traffic on the state highways.
Got to Dillon and checked in. Then went to find the Klondiker restaurant/bar/casino to have steak sandwich. O so good.
Tomorrow on to my favorite ghost town/park. I pulled out my jeans to wear tomorrow – then temp when we got here was 23, so early tomorrow morning, it should be very cool !! Compared to the 30-35 degrees that we have been in for the last couple of weeks.
