Same routine, up, got ready, put our bags out and down for breakfast. We sat with the other Canadians this morning and chatted about stuff that we all knew knew about.
On the coach and away at 7:30 towards Seville. We made a pitstop around 930 10 o’clock at a gas station. Just for a bathroom break and to grab a drink if anybody wanted one. Back on the couch in the way again. This time we stop that a self-serve cafeteria store with a gas station on the side for lunch. Cheap lunch two sandwiches two bottles of coconut rice pudding and it was eight dollars or eight euros.
We wandered outside to wait for everybody else to get on the coach and we noticed some Cork trees. So some of us wandered over to take close-up pictures of them. One of the guys notice some tissue in the trees and then I noticed some tissue on the ground and realize that the cork tree had issues. I scraped my shoes in the dirt as I make my way back toward coach.
We got into Seville around 230 and hopped off the bus on the street by the river. We were going on our city tour from there. We walked through the old town and went to the cathedral. It’s third largest in the world. St. Peter’s and Saint Pauls are bigger. We wandered around the church for about a half an hour looking at all the stuff it was very very large and there was a lot of people in it and it was very hot.
Once we were outside the church we wandered around and down through the narrow streets of the old town. It would’ve been really nice to do this when it wasn’t 37° outside and no clouds in the sky. Everybody wanted to go into the nearest bar that they saw to sit and drink cold beer. The inundated a little street seller selling lemonade just to get the ice.
We want you know I’m through and out through the city want to the Square that had a big statue for Christopher Columbus. There we had our family photo taken all of 38 of us. Half of us standing in the sun the other half in the shade should be interesting especially since he only wanted two lines so that means there was 16 people in each line it look like he had a very wide angle lens.
We almost ran across the street to get onto the air-conditioned bus and get back to the hotel. We just got into our rooms and was starting to an organize ourselves and Jenny and Paul arrived on the scene that was great to see them again. Vicki told Paul don’t hug me I’m stinky and sweaty and he said that’s OK I haven’t had a shower yet either.
We chatted for about 1015 minutes and they wandered off to get ready to go on their tapas and carriage to her tonight and we got ready and I ran across the street with Vicki to look for a screwdriver to see if I can fix my camera. No such luck I found a multi tool that I thought I could try but I looked at the cameras just to see if I might buy a point and shoot.
Anyway we were in a rush so I grab the multitool pay the guy 20 bucks or whatever it’s going to turn out to be back across the street to the hotel just in time to have sangria a little nibbles before we left for the flamingo. On the bus on the way downtown to have supper and watch a bunch of men and women tap on the floor.
As Tony said the food wasn’t much but it was OK the booze was flowing and the night was loud. The dancers were good.
We left there about 830 caught a different bus because Antonio had driven too much today already and made our way back to the hotel. Now off to find Jenny and Paul and have a little chat for a while.
