Well today we were supposed to go to Karunda for the day, but they rescheduled for tomorrow. Hopefully the cyclone has moved far enough south that we can go on the trip. Anyway, it looks brighter outside, still a little overcast, but no rain. So I think today we are going to walk up to the top of the lookout. Anyway it will be another easy day – I think. Cyclone Hamish has been upgraded to a category 3, but it is already south of Port Douglas, so I don’t think it will affect us today.
Nope it didn’t affect us, we had sunshine, with a lot of clouds. We went to the Ice Cream shop to log onto the internet and update the blog and check emails. Then we wandered down teh street toward 4 mile beach. We walked up the path to the top – a nice breeze from there, then back sown as some big rain clouds were moving in. We stopped at a bakery on the way back to the hotel. Nice cold lemon slush & a bun. Then back to the hotel for a nap, lucky, it started to pout after we got back. It rained for about an hour then cleared.
After the rain, we wandered back up to the main street and had a pizza for supper at Rattle & Hum – again.
From there we went to Coles to get something for breakfast, and then wandered to the wharf to watch the sunset – no colour, so we walked back to the hotel and into the pool. By the time we got into the pool the colour had hit the sky, lots of purple and reds. We cooled off in the pool – o so nice, and then up to the room to do a little wash. Also to organize our cameras for tomorrow at Kuranda – it is a go.
