We left Sacramento Thursday morning, it was only 65 degrees. We took the long way, went to Lake Tahoe, and wandered up to Eagle Falls. It was cool up there, but it started to rain while we were up top. When we got back to the car we were soaked.
We drove around the lake and up to Verdi, to Gold Ranch, so we could loose 40$. Then on across Nevada, watching the clouds the whole way. We stopped in Wells to fillup and made 20$ out of 3$, and left in a hurry.
We got to Jackpot at 11 or actgually 12 Mountain time. Lost 20$, and went to bed.
Friday morning, we slept in, and left around 10, it was over cast, and started to rain while we were getting ice for the cooler. I really don’t know why we need ice, it it friggin cold (around 40F). It was overcast the whole way, and rained the last 3 hours.
We stopped at Monida, a small town in southern Montana, hardly any buildings, I have always wanted to stop and take some photos, so we did – in the rain.
WOW – here we sit in Great Falls (Friday night). We got in at 7 pm. We quit, the driving was nasty, lots of low clouds and rain. It is supposed to snow up to 10 inches in the mountains tonight.
