We are here safe and sound.
We left late afternoon and got to Milk River for the night. Left around 6 am on Wednesday and through customs. It was a different procedure this time. They went through the trunk and asked about perscription drugs, Then we drove into another building and talked to 2 other customs officers, and finally through a security gate.
We got to Jackpot about 3 or 4 in the afternoon. It was a little cloudy, but warmer than at home.
We lost some money at the casinos – imagine that!
On Thursday we went for some short hikes north of Jackpot – then back to Jackpot and lunch. We wandered a bit up and down the street.
Not far to wander because there is not much in the town. A slow afternoon, and then back to the casino to see if we can get some of our money back, And we started to win our money back. By the time we went to bed we had won all our money back – Ya!!
It rained – I think this is the first time in 22 years I have seen it rain here.
Up and out the door and on the road by 6 am. We got to Reno about noon, lost a couple of bucks at Gold Ranch, and then away we go to Sacramento.
We got in about 4 pm. The traffic going out of the city was bumper to bumper, good thing we are going the other way. We went to Giovinno’s to get pizza for supper.
I finally have the air card up and running and connected to the net – much better than dial up – but way more frustrating to set up.
