Saturday – still on the road

Darn alarm, I could have thrown it across the room, but that would have broken my phone.
Up around 5 am, and on the road at about 5:30. The sun isn’t even close to rising yet. As we drove along the interstate, I watched the east sky brighten, and get a little colour in it, and we happen to be passing some black eyed susans on the side of the road, so I took an off ramp, and decided to drive along a side road until I had the flowers with the sun rise behind them. The stop was for only about 20 minutes, but I think I got a couple of not bad photos – who knows.
Back out onto the interstate and speeding north again. We really only stopped for gas, and that wasn’t many times as my little car seems to like racing along at about 80 mph, as the gas mileage is around 40 to 45 mpg.
No one tried to run us off the road today, but there were some dumb drivers every once in a while.
The only time we stopped that wasn’t for gas was to drop off some tea towels for a friend.
We got home at 11:30, so we were in the car for about 18 hours – a long day. We got most of the stuff out of the car and into the house, that only took about 12 trips – I didn’t think I could get all that stuff into that little car, but we managed.

Another trip has concluded, and we are making plans for the next short excursion.
