We finally got here.
We left Ogden early this morning and wandered in about noon. Last night we moved the carso that it was outside the window. This morning we opened the window crawled out and then moved the suitcases out the window instead of walking around the building – easier and faster.
Our room wasn’t ready so they traded with one that was. After dumping all out gear in the room, we jumped back in the car and went into town (Moab).
To La Hacienda for lunch – o so good mexican food. A couple or 3 tacos and a burrito later we wandered out the door and downtown, we don’t have to eat again today.
To the City Market to get some groceries, then filled up the car. Wandered down a couple block of main street, and purused the stores to see if there were any new t-shirts to buy. We decided to go back out to the lodge and wash clothes. To think we needed to wash clothes already – but we have been on the road for 4 days, not moving very far on 3 of them.
Now we are back at the room, having met one of the fellow photographer that is here for the workshop.
Power up the lap tops, down load a few photos from the last 4 days, and now to sit back out on the patio, and watch the sun move over the red rock that lines the canyon walls on the other side of the river.
This lodge is located beside the Colorado river, I could hop over the patio wall and walk to the river in about a minute. The birds are playing in the trees, adn I have shorts on – it is about 75 degrees F, and blue sky with some light fluffly clouds – a totally differnt world than what we drove through.
I’ve uploaded a couple of photos…
