Tuesday

Breakfast was good, lots to choose from.
We have been on tour too long, forgot what floor our room was on. Found the room grabbed my camera and off to see the Troll Road.
We wound up the Eagle Round in the other side of the fjord. Stopped at the top to look down. Nice view without any cruise ships.
Off again across a valley between the fjords. We took a ferry across the next one. We stopped at another waterfall were they had built a steel and concrete walkway winding across the top. I asked Chad to leave me there and pick me up on the way back. He told me I would egret not going farther. So I got back on.
We were above the tree line again. And then we were st the top. 13 hairpin turns to the bottom. At time I was looking straight down without a guard rail. The clouds had rolled in so you couldn’t see very far in front or over the side for the first 3 or 4 turns.
We stopped at the bottom to take photos looking up. We took another group photo.
Then we went back up, just as crazy on the way up. We stopped at the visitors centre at the top for lunch and a walk to the lookouts.
We grabbed a waffle and a coke and then away for our walk out over the edge.
Nice views from the top, and when we got there the clouds had cleared and we could see all the way down the valley to a little village. Just great.
A run through the souvenir shop and back on the coach for our return trip.
When we came back down Eagles Road we saw 2 more cruise ships had come in. One was huge. We got off in the village and took the waterfall walk back up to the hotel.
We huffed and puffed our way up taking photos all the way.
We actually have a couple of hours to ourselves before our drinks and supper tonight.
I think I’ll have a short nap. Then happy hour and a couple of beers to get ready.
Down for our drink and a look at the old cars that they used to use to drive people to the fjord with. We mingled and talked. Then up to the dinning room for supper. Again there was a great amount of different foods to choose from.
We had a good time discussing everything and talking about everyone, I still can’t get over this one lady ( older than me) who thinks Billy Idol is the greatest.
We wandered up to our rooms very tired and a little sad because it will be over in 2 days.

  1. Wow! Hard to believe that 3 weeks are almost over already. You must have been very hard on the gravel today! Excited to see you next week and hear your stories…….

  2. The trip was neat great views. But wandering by myself through some trees with a river and waterfalls probably would have been better. There was a WC and cafe where we stopped, so I wouldn’t have been entirely alone.
