Hi all, we are home safe and sound.
From Sunday to Wednesday when we left, there was nothing exciting that went on.
On Monday, we wandered to Thunder Valley, and we lost money again. We ate at JimBoys and relished every bite. We went to the batting cage again, this time with batting gloves, so no one got blisters. Hey, we still can hit a 60 mph pitch, we chould go back to playing fastball – not.
Tuesday we went shopping for goodies for the way home, then Thunder Valley and of course, JimBoys again. They have T-Shirts, and of course we bought some. And one more dip in the pool.
We left on Wednesday morning, with a stop at the Nugget to pick up a small cheesecake for a snack later in the day. We ended up in Kelso, and small town north of Portland Oregon, nothing out of the ordinary along the way.
Thursday morning we set off, with fog in the air, needless to say, I careened the car across 3 lanes of traffic to take an exit to get photos of barns in fog. We stopped twice before hitting Seattle. The traffic wasn’t bad, but the big rock that bounced off the windshield didn’t make the day any nicer. Boy this has been an expensive vacation.
We made it through the border without a hitch, and got in line for the Ferry to Victoria, they put on an extra sailing just for us 🙂 We met up with friends and had a wonderful time, catching up on what we have done, while touring the city. We stayed 2 nights in Victoria, and left for home on Saturday morning.
We caught the 9 am sailing from Victoria on Saturday. The drive through the lower mainland was nice, lots of colour and more old barns – I need to come and stay here for a week or so and get my fill of photographing old barns. We got to Blue River before stopping for the night.
Sunday morning we left around 7:30, and made various stops along the highway, the sun was peeking out behind the clouds every once in a while, and it made for some good photos. The colours on the western side of the Rockies was fantastic. The eastern side didn’t have as much colour, but it was still very good. We got home around 5 pm, with a stop to pick up pizza for supper.
We unpacked the car, which was hard, and flopped down in the living room.
Another great trip has come to an end – now to plan the next one.
