Today we wandered into wine country in the foothills, but before we got there, we stopped at Sloughhouse and picked up some peas and fresh strawberries.
While tasting wine, we found a nice red and a couple of good whites. Then off to Fat Freddies for hotodgs and very good milk shakes. Then off to lose some money. While we were in the casino, they lost power for a couple of minutes. We found out when we got home that there was a fire down by Jackson, that cut the power, and they didn’t expect the power back on until tomorrow.
It is very dry and hot down here, and they have had some fires in the area. It was about 99 F in Sacramento today, tomorrow it will be cooler – 95F.
