Have camera will travel

Short night. In bed around 1 am and up at 6:30. Ready to go!
There were 8 tour groups in our hotel, so we had a set time for breakfast and they wouldn’t let us in before 8:30. Afterwards I went wandering with Jen. We wanted photos with the big troll by the dock. And as it happens a souvenir store. Ya, as last night at the cape the machines weren’t working – just as I as making a purchase so they wanted cash – I said nope I don’t need that stuff. So I didn’t buy it. Good thing, the same stuff was cheaper at the dock.
It sprinkling a little as we departed, but soon the sun was shining. We drove back down the way we came and stopped at the same place for the morning break.
We had fresh waffles with jam and Norwegian whipped sour cream – very good.
Back on the bus and off to Alta for our wilderness river adventure. We got in about 1:30, got our rooms, then went wandering to find a place for supper after our ride on the river.
We found the wine store and the supermarket for beer and munchies for happy hour.
Meanwhile we are back at the hotel waiting for our bags.
We are off on our wilderness river adventure. We drove to the site where the Ice Hotel is every winter. There half of us went on the river the other half had waffles and jam and sour cream by the camp fire. Very good. We have someone on the tour that is a single, and he barges into everything, always has to be first, wether it is off the coach or first in line for tea. We were lined up for the waffles and it was going to slow for him so he just walked around everyone went on the wrong side and reached across and grabbed his waffles. Well someone finally said something to him and he barked back. But no one is talking to him now.
Anyway we went on our river run in small boats similar to the ones in the Amazon. Narrow and long with an outboard motor. It was great, we went up the Alta river about 20 minutes and came back. Great ride.
Then we saw a video about the ice hotel and talked to the guys who make it every year.
Then back to the hotel and happy hour.
We wandered out to find supper. We had pizza at Peppeys Pizza. Very good thin crust. A bunch of the group were there.
We wandered back after supper for a night cap.
Now to wash a couple of things and get ready for rocks tomorrow.
