Saturday A really tough day today, got up and went down and went to the pool. I’m around the pool for about three hours, then back up to the room to get changed to go for lunch. Lunch was hamburgers today but they weren’t cooked all the way through so i ate around the edge. Very tasty but not cooked enough for me. Had a piece of pizza and a real fresh banana for dessert.
In this restaurant which is actually the lunch place, there’s birds flying back-and-forth all the time looking for food that is dropped on the floor or left on the table. They fly around screaming and yelling at one another and being a general nuisance.
After lunch we waited for the staff to clean our rooms and bring us more water and Coca-Cola of course. Yesterday we had a rose on our beds, today a bottle of wine and a keychain. We stayed out of the sun during the peak hours and wandered out around 4 o’clock.
We walked north along the beach about as far as we could go to the rock Cliff because the tide was coming in. We can watch the boat three guys fishing, one of them caught some mackerel. We talked to the guy and he said he was giving the fish to the locals. There was a Iguana walking along and ran away after a couple people tried to get really close to it. Not me I respected him even though I did get a good picture.
Back to the hotel to shower and change and go for supper. We did the buffet again just because we had no energy to go stand in line for one for the restaurants. We had the same little guy for a waiter, he’s very nice pretty soon he’ll have the stuff on the table when we get there.
So there’s a casino on the property, so we walked past the OMG stores to the casino tonight. Lost the first 20 pretty fast on a machine that we sort of knew how to play. Wandered around a bit, put about 10 bucks in another machine we kinda knew how to play and lost that. Then we decided to play a new machine we didn’t know how it worked. All of a sudden all the bells and whistles went off,and we got the feature. Which gave us 8 free spins. In those free spins we got another eight free spins and won 60 bucks. So we took the money and ran, actually walk slowly out the door.
We wandered back to the hotel, stopped and got some ice for our drinks and our knees and up to the room to sit on the balcony and watch all the drunks wander around.
