A day at the Tower

Well we got up a little earlier than yesterday, but we still didn’t get out the door when we had planned to. O well, vacation planning is made to be changed.
We checked out the Tube today, as we had to across The City to the Tower. We got there and passed by the line and walked through the entrance and the big herd of people were behind us. We spent longer in the Tower than we did last time. This time we did our own tour, we wandered up around on the top of the walls.
There were a lot of people there, most of them didn’t speak english. We met some people from California while we were sitting in the shade.
The Crown Jewels look the same – very expensive! We looked in all the nook and crannies of the place, the walls looked about 6 feet thick. After we wandered along the river and looked at the bridge, and decided we wanted to see All Hallows Church instead.
We had a hotdog – a mistake, but it was food and the coke was cold. Then off to the church.
The church was great, there were only 4 other people inside. It was quiet and no kids running about. We went down to the crypt and looked about, then back up and had a sit down in the pews. Another prayer or two for my family.
Then back out into the street, and into the mob again. Back to the Underground and off to the hotel. We dropped off our cameras and out onto Oxford Street to find a Starbucks to find a London mug. Marks & Spencers was next on the list and the food hall. We picked up some water, and a munchy or two, and then went to find something for supper.
Now we are back at the hotel, sitting back and relaxing after taste testing some food from the dining room.
