To St.Paul’s and back

We got up early today – ha – 7:30. But again we were slow getting out the door. Down for breakfast and then off on the Tube to St. Paul’s.
We didn’t have to walk far, the Underground station was right across the street. We followed a kids group around to the front. There are kids everywhere, are they out of school over here or what?
They didn’t allow photographs inside, so I didn’t get to take the photos I wanted, but my camera went off all by itself a couple of times. There actually weren’t many people in the church, so we wandered around without having to bump and dodge through the crowd. Down to the crypt, that is the size of the church, biggest crypt in England. Lots of famous dead people under this church. We wandered about for a couple of hours and then headed outside.
We found a Pizza Express shop and decided we needed lunch. The pizza was very good, but the gelato was much better! From there we decided to find Foyles, a hugh bookstore.
Back onto the Tube and down to find the book store. We came up to street level and it took us a while to figure out whihc way was south. Not many street signs and streets closed because of construction, we were confused. We walked by this guy asking for spare change 4 times before wer figured out where we were, and where the bookstore was ! Duh! We didn’t find any books by our favorite authors that we didn’t already have, so we didn’t get any books.
Out onto the street and back to the Tube. This time, when we passed the guy asking for spare change, I gave him some.
Back on the Tube and back to the hotel to regroup. Then out on Oxford street and dodging the crowd to get more custard tarts!
It was another nice day, around 18 with lots of sun, the trees are blooming and the grass is green here. I checked the weather for Edmonton today, and it was -3 this morning. I think it was about 10 here.
I post a few more images, check the link
