Another day at 9000 feet

The first day in about 2 months that the alarm clock went off before I woke up. And the first day that I could have slept in.
We got organized packed the car and then went off in search of more photo ops somewhere in the monutains. We went south, and then one of our group flew by us (about 95 mph), so we followed. He slowed down after he left the highway, so we could see him. We ended up past Lindy Lake, up a dirt/rock road into the bush. We came out at a slough, well a creek with a beaver dam on it. Lots of reflections and still water. Part of our groups was already there, they must have crawled out of bed early.
We took some photos, did a little hiking and then headed back into town to check out of the hotels and then meet for breakfast. More fun at the table this morning, and good food too. We said our goodbyes, then off toward Sacramento. We got into town in the early afternoon and unpacked half the car.
Nothing but blue sky, and 100 F – warm and dry.
