Well it’s moving day, we are off to Adelaide this morning.
I have uploaded new photos this morning. The sun is shinning, and the birds have been singing for at least 3 hours. We left some of our stuff here, so that are bags are lighter – so we can fill them when we wander through the rest of the country.
Anyway, I gotta run, they are waiting for me so we can toddle off to the airport.
We made it safely to the airport with plenty of time. Got through the baggage drop off and through security without a problem. We scouted out the airport to see what was around, as we will be back here next Monday on our way up to Port Douglas. Nice airport, lots of shops, we didn’t buy anything. Grabbed a sandwich and then waited for the plane.
The flight was uneventful. Virgin Blue is a discount airlines, and you can tell. You had to pay for the TV, and any drinks, including a bottle of water. No big deal, it was only about a 2 hr flight.
Carla and Neil met us as we got off the plane, and both Vicki and Carla said they recognized each other right away.
We grabbed our bags, and then off to Ikea to get a light bulb. Then we went to Glenelg to have lunch. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine – no rain (yet). We walked out to the pier, but the wind was very strong, so the better part of valour, we retreated.
Back in the car and off to the house. We got a little settled, and Vicki and Carla are off somewhere, and I get to sit in front of my new little laptop. I haven’t really taken any photos today, so no new ones for today – yet, the day is still young.
