Monday in St. George

We were up at 07:00, we got a sleep in – wahoo!!
Breakfast in the hotel was good, Gail had waffles, the rest of us had bacon and eggs and various breads.
Then off to Zion. It was cool this morning, so the first hike (River Walk), in Zion was a little cool. Gail hunkered down by a big log beside the river in the sunshine trying to get warm. The rest of us wanderd to the end of the walk – up to where we had to walk in the water, and then we turned back, picked up Gail and back to the shuttle.
We stopped at a couple of other small hikes. Gail and Judy went to the Emerald Pools, Vicki and I stayed at the lodge and had an ice cream, and sat in the sun. Back to the car, and into town. We stopped at a rock shop in Springdale and looked at rocks.
We went to the Artic Circle for a hamburger for a late lunch. We wandered through Barnes & Noble looking for books, and laughing so hard at the “Creative book of Swears”, and the “Book of Farts”, we had to leave we were creating a scene. Then back to the hotel, to get warm.
So, rumor has it that Gail had 3 old men in the hot tub. Ball players at that. We decided that what happens in St. George, stays in St. George…….
Well when we got back to the room, we tested the bathroom sink again – still leaks, even more than this morning. We called the desk, and Steve was checking into it. It was a little cool in the room, so we turned on the heat – and promptly set off the smoke detector – the room now stinks – new room please.
We are now one floor up, after first loosing the room key for the new room, and then dumping half our ball stuff on the floor when were were loading up the trolley to move. We found the room key, and then off up to the new room. We threw the suitcases on the floor and then got a phone call to keep the niose room – Gail & Judy are now below us.
Once we were settled, we decided we need to sit around the pool and drink, so down to the pool, to have cheese and crackers and a little booze. The people in one of the rooms over looking the pool kept looking out the window to see what the laughing was about. We thought we were being quiet. Then came a couple to sit in the hot tub – I don’t know if I wanted to sit in there after Gail and the 3 guys 🙂 Then another couple showed up fo rthe hot tub, and the noise level went up, so we thought we we would leave.
While we were down there, Dorothy called, she is in Vegas, just waiting for her bags and a shuttle to the hotel.
