getting ready for bed

We are back in from our shoot at Cisco. This a town that is almost a ghost town, only a couple or three people live there. I am sure they were very happy to see almost 40 people decend on their town and wander around taking photos of everything from door knobs to old shoes left in the field to dry up and blow away.
Ths has become a long day. We were up at 03:30 and on the road at 04:30, to Arches for the sunrise that didn’t happen. But we got a little sun, and one or two decent photos.
Then back to the lodge for breakfast and download the images we took this morning, then we had our high noon session from 11:30 until 15:30.We went back to the room and had a sandwich for supper, and got our gear ready for the Cisco shoot.
We got in from Cisco at 9:30, dropped our gear in the room and headed for the bar for a “brew with the crew”. We talked politics for a while and then most people started to shuffle back to their respective rooms to get a little sleep – 03:30 come early.
This day was full of a lot of possibilities, and some came true. The light wasn’t what we wanted at the North Window in Arches, but we took our group shot there, and the sun peaked out for a bit, before the clouds left altogether and we were left with a very bright sky and lots of contrast. High noon went by fast with a lot of information, and my PC has decided to be nuts and not do anything right, so I am ignoring it for now. Supper was only a sandwich, but more than what I wanted. The drive to Cisco was about 30 miles, and the place looked disappointing when we arrived, but turned out not bad. Again not a good sunset, but the clouds lite up after the sun went down, so again some good light shots.
I’ve uploaded a few more photos…
