Again we were up and outta bed at 03:30 to be off to Mesa arch for the sunrise.
This morning the sun appeared, too bad there was also a 15 mph wind. We all huddled around this small arch that is about 5 feet from the canyon wall. A couple of older gentlemen showed up about 1/2 after we got there and they looked stunned to see 40 people already clustered around “the spot” for the photo op. After that a bus load of tourists showed up as well, and all they wanted was there photos taken with the sunrise and canyon in the background. They left after everyone had their photos taken.
Got back to the lodge, and took a nap, had a sandwich, downloaded the photos I took this morning, and back up to the main lodge for the High Noon session – to get our brains scrambled and to see some incredible images that Moose, Laurie and Joe took – and in a word WOW.
Now a little time to “play” with some of my images, pick 3 that I want other people to see in the student show.
