Up late and not moving until around 10. I guess because we didnt get back to the hotel last night until about 1 this morning.
We wandered down to the Mircle Mile to find something for breakfast. Everyone else said their breakfast was good, I had french toast, my usual, but they made it with brown bread- crappy. O well the fruit was good.
We got some ice and loaded the cooler with water and off we went to the Valley of Fire. It is about 30 miles north of Vegas close to Lake Mead. It was 100F, so we very little hiking. The rocks were great, not that many tourists wandering around.
We went through and our to the west side of the park. We were going to go to Lake Mead, but decided that we would loose vavluable gambling time, and also might miss the prime rib special that we saw on Fremont street. So we turned around and headed back to Vegas through Overton.
Of course there is construction on the freeway through Vegas so the traffic was heavy when we got back. We made our escape off the freeway at the outlet mall, and continued on to Fremont Street. We made it in time for the prime rib special – o it was so good, and the horse radish was incredible.
We made our way back out onto the street and wandered up and down. I thought about doing the zip line again, but decided I would rather loose more money instead, so I did. But at the end I made it back, so I was even.
We made an early night of it and got back to the hotel around midnight. The strip was rocking as we drove down it.
