You know it’s a bad day when ……..

So, we left two people behind (medical problem), shortly after we left Edinburgh someone puked in his hat (he had too much wine last night), and our tour guide asked the driver where we were, and why were we there.
Bad start to the day, so not much else went wrong.
We went across a big bridge at the Firth of Fourth. We stopped for a photo op of the train bridge – huge! Then onward toward St. Andrews. Except there was a traffic diversion, and who knows where and how we got back on the road to St. Andrews.
We got off the coach at the 1st tee of the Old Course. We took photos, and wandered over to look at the North Sea. Then off again. We thought things had settled down, but that is when the tour guide wanted to know where we were, and why? That is when we knew something was seriously wrong with him. When we stopped at The Discovery (a ship) for a photo op, one of the other passengers had a chat with the guide. He had a serious problem with his eyes.
Back on the coach and off toward Inverness. We stopped at Pitlochry for lunch. A beeline for the bakery and a sandwich. Of course we had to have something sweet as well.
When we got back to the coach our driver told us that our tour guide had decided to quit, he would continue to Inverness, but that was it. o well, now what? The driver took control and off to Inverness.
The whole day was a quite trip, we didn’t get any comentary as to where we were or what areas we were going through. We went from the lowlands to the highlands – with snow at the highre altitudes.
We got to the hotel around 5 pm, it is a traditional hotel, and looks old and nice. we get dinner in the hotel, and the Inverness Castle is across the river from the hotel. Another castle – ya!
