Sunshine today

An early departure this morning. We are on our way at 8:00. Clouds in the sky, but mostly blue and the sun is shinning. I should have taken a photo, as I haven’t seen that much.
We left Wales and back into England. This morning we are in Bath, which is older than the Romans. We had a tour of the Roman baths, and then we wandered the city looking for lunch. We grabbed a take away sandwich and coke, an ate on a park bench by the river.
There was a lot of french speaking students everywhere in the baths – what the heck? Why aren’t they in school?
Then we wandered the small cobbled streets taking photos and trying not to get lost. We followed the river for a bit, and were going to go down into the park along side t river, but you had to pay to get in – strange concept. So we didn’t go down. We followed the wall and wound our way over to the bridge that crossed the river. The bridge was actually a shopping street, with shops on both sides, just like an ordinary street.
From there we wandered back toward the cathedral, meeting people we knew along the way. We stood on a traffic island and chatted, looking like locals, just chatting away.
Anyway back to the coach and away we go. We went down some very narrow country roads and our driver negotiated them like it was a 2 lane motorway. No worries with Steve driving.
We got to Exeter about 15:00 and decided not to stay in the centre of town, but go to the hotel and have a lay down. I seem to have caught the bug that has been circling the coach. Only the cold part so far.
Down to the pub to get some supper. There was a convention of some sort on as well, so the pub was crowded, and hardly and chairs. We finally organized some chairs and tables and sat down. Then we were irnored by the bar maid. I got up to order, stood there for a mintue or two while she wiped some glasses. Then she walked by me and asked to guys who had just walked up what they wanted. I said, “Ok that does it” and walked away. The guys said “O I’m sorry I thought you had been served”. I told them it wasn’t their fault but the bar maids.
I then left and went back to the room. I wasn’t feeling all that well anyway. I got dragged back to the bar to have someting to eat and a hot toddy. The guys at the table had straightened out the manager of the place.
